CaixaBank, S.A. informed that the rating agency S&P Global Ratings Europe Limited (S&P Global) had raised the following ratings of the bank as a result of the update of the rating agency’s bank rating criteria:

– Long-term issuer credit rating (ICR) to A- from BBB+, maintaining the outlook Stable.

– Senior preferred debt rating to A- from BBB+.

– Long- and short-term resolution counterparty ratings (RCR) to A/A-1 from A-/A-2

Consequently, CaixaBank has obtained a long-term debt rating of ‘A’ from two of the four main rating agencies after receiving this same rating from DBRS Morningstar. Fitch Ratings has maintained CaixaBank’s rating at ‘BBB+,’ and Moody’s Investors Service establishes it at ‘Baa1’, which are high debt ratings for the bank.
