Contract to support Monadelphous’ design and construct scope for Unitywater’s Kawana Sewage Treatment Plant upgrade on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.
Upgrade of treatment plant capacity from 90,000 EP (equivalent population) to 200,000 EP using the MBBR wastewater treatment process.
Overall project investment value of A$74M.
The Kawana contract is the third contract won by ACCIONA Agua in Australia. The company designed and built the SWRO plant of Adelaide in South Australia and the Mundaring WTP in Western Australia, both of which are currently operated in joint venture by ACCIONA.
